Dev-Update | December 2025
Published on: December 31, 2025
This last month of the year has been quite interesting. Today I want to share a little bit of it, my reflections on 2025, and my plans for 2026.
December Updates
This month has been characterized by me getting my first full-time job as a software developer. After the long pain in the ass that job searching processes are, I finally found one I'm very happy with. And also, my teammates are just so lovely.
In terms of personal projects, I haven't done that much, but I did manage a few things:
- TaskerBot: Added a few QoL features and made a pretty cool web dashboard, so entering Discord is no longer required.
- DigTube: Updated to the latest version of the map (4.0), which means more options available to find low view videos. I also added an RPM binary because now that I'm using Fedora as my daily driver, I can compile to it. I am yet to compile it for Windows.
2025 Reflections
About 2025, I can't be happier with the outcome of the year. Sincerely, it's been way better than I expected:
- Graduated from my first Bachelor's.
- Got the Linux+ cert.
- Started coding and publishing my personal projects (I made a lot to be fair).
- Kept studying German.
- Went back to Judo and I'm practicing 5 days a week.
- Made great advancements in my genealogy project.
- Most importantly: I got my first job as a software developer, which was my main goal for the year.
2026 Goals
For 2026, my main goals are:
- Keep improving as a developer.
- Consolidate my German knowledge to a B2 level.
- Go to as many Judo competitions as I can and get my black belt.
- Keep getting new leads with my genealogic tree.
- Maybe get involved in an interesting open source project.
- And obviously, enjoy the year.
I hope y'all have a great 2026, I will keep you posted with my progress.
A huge thanks for your support.
